The island lies approximately 80 kilometres north east of Bundaberg and slightly north of Fraser Island. Lady Elliot Island has an Eco Resort focused on providing guests with a genuine Ecotourism experience. In season, guests may see Green and Loggerhead Turtles nesting on the beaches, baby turtle hatchlings, resident manta rays, humpback whales and over 1500 species of marine life.
